Landstar Holdings is a Chicago-based real estate investment company with over three decades of experience acquiring, managing, and developing properties across the Midwest. What started in the 1980's as a single 3-unit building has grown into a portfolio of over 50 properties spanning the Chicagoland area and beyond.

 

Our roots are in multifamily, which remains at the core of who we are. However, the best opportunities don't fit neatly into a box. Whether it's a single-family home, a 200-unit apartment building, retail, office, or a piece of dirt, we'll look at it.

Our portfolio includes both market-rate and affordable housing properties across the Midwest. On the affordable side, we are HUD-approved owners and managers of project-based Section 8 housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties. We don't just acquire these assets — we own and operate them, and take seriously the responsibility that comes with providing quality affordable housing to the communities we serve.
