Avi Schiffman

Avi works at Landstar Holdings, specializing in multifamily acquisition opportunities across the Midwest region. Avi’s background combines deep financial expertise with hands-on real estate investment experience, enabling him to evaluate opportunities from both an operational and capital markets perspective. 

Avi is a graduate of the University of Illinois and began his career in public accounting as a CPA with a Big Four firm. While he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, he was ultimately drawn to real estate by a passion for understanding valuation, deal structuring, and the tangible nature of real estate.  The beauty of the business is having the opportunity to build relationships and work closely with owners, investors, and operators across the industry.

Over the course of his career, Avi has held a variety of roles spanning financial reporting, acquisitions, and asset management. He previously helped oversee more than $20 billion of asset valuations for a subsidiary of Blackstone, providing critical valuation and reporting support across its institutional funds. Avi also worked at one of the nation's leading investment sales firms, specializing in multifamily capital markets for institutional and private capital clients. Throughout his career, he has been involved in underwriting more than $3+ billion of multifamily assets and has contributed to over $400+ million in closed transactions, helping clients evaluate opportunities and execute strategies aligned with their investment objectives.

Outside of work, Avi enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and discovering new restaurants.
